Fighting the Spiral Abyss Glitch - The Barbara Bug

Genshin Impact is an ever-evolving open-world action-adventure game that features a unique combat system with hundreds of characters. Here, players explore a vibrant world and take on powerful enemies, some of them located deep in the Spiral Abyss, a special kind of domain with 12 floors that reward the players with stars to unlock precious rewards. But sometimes, a glitch can stand in their way and make them stuck in the Spiral Abyss even after the challenge is completed, a bug dubbed the Barbara bug.

This bug is caused by the Hydro user Barbara, who is known in the community for her tendency to cause more glitches than any other character. Back in Genshin Impact 3.0, when the Dendro element was introduced, Barbara's elemental skill, Let The Show Begin was able to trigger the Bloom elemental reaction, which made her the strongest support for a couple of weeks. This reaction involves setting off Dendro cores that explode after a few seconds, the effect being amplified by the Hydro user Nilou's passive talent, which causes the cores to become Bountiful cores with a larger AoE and a shorter cooldown.

Reddit user JackfruitNatural5474 has shared a video of themself getting stuck in the Spiral Abyss domain after the challenge was completed as a result of this bug. To evade it, players must be careful when choosing characters for their team compositions, especially if they are planning on using Barbara. Luckily, the re-run of Nilou is expected to be released in the next Genshin Impact update 3.6, alongside the Dendro user Nahida.
