Fortnite players rejoice! Epic Games announced that they are adding the Unreal Editor to Fortnite next week, meaning players will get access to Roblox-like creator tools for creating and publishing their own content. With this new addition, the already existing Creative mode of Fortnite will be bolstered with a suite of new tools and workflows such as custom asset import, modeling, materials, VFX, Sequencer, and Control Rig.
The main benefit of this change is that it gives creators much more creative freedom when designing islands in Fortnite. This means they can now design their own islands from scratch or edit pre-existing ones without any restrictions. These creations can then be published directly into the game itself so that millions of other players around the world can explore them. The added bonus here is that these publishers don’t need to have any prior coding knowledge in order to create something unique for everyone else to enjoy – all you need is some creativity and imagination!
For creators, this means that they can now bring their own islands into Fortnite with the help of Unreal Engine tools. This could lead to an ever-growing array of user-generated content that players can explore and interact with. This new feature also allows users more control over creating their own maps as well as providing access to Sequencer and Control Rig features for more advanced projects.
Players stand to benefit from the introduction of Unreal Editor, too, as it promises even more diverse content within the Creative mode than what was previously available before its arrival. Whilst Epic has made it clear that users won't have access to all the same features as in a full version of Unreal Engine, there’s still plenty on offer here which should excite everyone looking forward to this update next week.
All things considered, this update should give Fortnite fans even more reason than ever before why they should continue enjoying one of today’s most popular games; not only does it bring with it improved user experience, but it also provides creators with exciting opportunities that weren’t available until now thanks largely in part due its integration with Roblox-esque creator tools from Epic Games themselves via Unreal Editor support on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 – a day which could go down as one remembered fondly by many gaming enthusiasts worldwide!
