The Buzz Continues: Jason Statham Set to Return in The Beekeeper 2

The sequel to The Beekeeper is officially in motion, and Jason Statham is set to reprise his role. When the first installment was released at the beginning of 2024, it saw considerable success at the box office and received favorable feedback from both fans and critics. This positive reception prompted Miramax, the production company, to move forward with a follow-up feature, which will bring back Statham in the role of Adam Clay.

According to reports, the new project will be produced and funded by Miramax, with Statham's own production company, Punch Palace Productions, involved as well. Filming for the sequel is planned for the autumn season. One notable change from the original film is that David Ayer will not be directing this time; the directorial duties will instead be handled by Timo Tjahjanto, known for his work on Nobody 2. However, Kurt Wimmer will return to develop the script for this upcoming chapter.

It remains uncertain when The Beekeeper 2 will debut in theaters, but it is reasonable to anticipate a release in late 2026 or early 2027. In the meantime, Statham is scheduled to star in another action movie titled A Working Man.
